Natasha's Law

With the implementation of Natasha's Law, Failte Food Service Ltd will ensure Product Specifications for all stock items are sent to customers without request for their own records. Failte Food Service Ltd do not pre pack any of the Frozen Food stock items we supply. All of our stock item products are clearly labelled with ingredients on the packaging from our suppliers along with Allergen labelling.

The product specification report gives a more in-depth description of the product from ingredients/dietary, packaging, storage and cooking information. Failte understand and value the importance of providing these details for our customers information. Our customers should provide this information to their consumers.

We understand that products will be prepared on their premises and products may be pre-packed for their consumers. Due to our own BRC and Health and Safety Accreditations, we already have a strict policy in place, where our dedicated buying team obtain Product Specification reports for all stock items before they enter our warehouse. Training is provided to all new employees working within the warehouse and distribution area, with additional training throughout the year. Training covers all aspects of Food Allergens, such as Food Labelling regulations, damage packaging, designated storage locations and cross contamination.

It is vital our employees have the knowledge that Allergens are substances found in many products and environments, which may cause an adverse reaction in certain individuals when they come into contact with them. Some reactions may be in mild form, however in some circumstances could be fatal. With the implementation of Natasha’s Law, Failte Foods’ IT and buying departments have been working hard together to design and build a new platform where Product Specifications for any given product can be accessed via our website. We would like to make this information more accessible for our customer.
